Mai sunt mai puțin de 40 de zile până în momentul în care Windows 10 va fi lansat oficial și Microsoft continuă să mai relaxeze politicile de licențiere. Dacă până acum se știa foarte clar că toți utilizatorii de Windows 7 sau mai nou (care nu sunt în licențe Enterprise) vor primi upgrade-ul la Windows 10 în mod automat, de două zile am aflat că mai există o cale și pentru ceilalți (adică utilizatorii ce folosesc un Windows non genuine sau o versiune genuine de Windows XP sau Vista) de a avea o licență de Windows 10 validă.
Secretul este programul de testare Windows Insider Preview care va asigura upgrade-ul automat la Windows 10, odată ce va fi lansat, a tuturor instalărilor active de Windows 10 Insider Preview.

Getting the final release on July 29th
Windows Insiders running the Windows 10 Insider Preview (Home and Pro editions) with their registered MSA connected to their PC will receive the final release build of Windows 10 starting on July 29th. This will come as just another flight. I’ve gotten a lot of questions from Windows Insiders about how this will work if they clean installed from ISO. As long as you are running an Insider Preview build and connected with the MSA you used to register, you will receive the Windows 10 final release build and remain activated. Once you have successfully installed this build and activated, you will also be able to clean install on that PC from final media if you want to start over fresh.
If you are running the Enterprise edition of the Windows 10 Insider Preview, to upgrade to the final release of Windows 10 Enterprise you will need to download and activate it from Volume Licensing Service Center. As a reminder, the Enterprise edition of the Windows 10 Insider Preview is not eligible for the free upgrade offer and can be upgraded to the final release of Windows 10 through an active Software Assurance agreement.

Ce trebuie să facă cei ce doresc Windows 10 licențiat și acum folosesc o versiune non genuine?
Păi e destul de simplu: trebuie să se înroleze în programul Windows Insider (aici aveți un tutorial) să instaleze de la zero cel mai recent build oficial – adică 10130 și să stea cu el (sau cu un build mai nou) până pe 29 iulie. Windows 10 va veni ca un upgrade automat prin sistemul de update activ în Windows 10 peste build-ul Insider Preview.
Licențierea se va face pe baza contului Live ID asociat programului Windows Insider, pe sistemul Windows 10 Insider Preview împreună cu disponibilitatea versiunii preview la momentul lansării Windows 10. Cu alte cuvinte cei ce nu au activ niciun build Insider Preview la 29 iulie probabil că nu vor primi upgrade-ul gratuit la Windows 10 și odată cu el și versiunea genuine.

Prin urmare e posibil ca licența de Windows 10 dobândită prin upgrade-ul via Windows Insiders să nu fie una licențiată. Microsoft se cam joacă cu informațiile pe care le publică oficial pe site și le trimite prin Insiders HUB de pe Windows 10 Insiders Preview.
